Position Description Summary: AmerisourceBergen is looking for a qualified intern to join our team in US Bioservices- Specialty Pharmacy. This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of healthcare.

Program Details Address: 3101 Gaylord Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034 Dates: June 4, 2018- August 10, 2018 Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM (need some flexibility based on business need)


Under general direction of the manager/mentor of AmerisourceBergen Specialty Group, the associate will assist with a variety of specialty operations specific job assignments and contributes to the completion of established projects and initiatives.

The primary duties and responsibilities will be defined as needed by the functional area where the incumbent is located.

Introduction to Specialty Pharmacy- observe in pharmacy and call center; gain familiarity with process flow Update Payer Contract spreadsheet for Provider Relations team Create contract Face Sheets in SharePoint Review Triage Report for contracting opportunities Organize/consolidate 340b reports for tracking purposes Claim analysis Other duties as identified Qualifications: Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students must be a Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior Business Major or Pharmacy Major is most applicable No prior internship required Excel experience preferred working with VLookup and Pivot Tables Analytical Skills required Good communication skills (verbal and written) required Previous internship experience preferred Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated technical writing skills Technical aptitude to learn new applications Familiarity with training content structure and design (preferred) Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to meet deadlines Ability to review data, interpret, and make appropriate adjustments Interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
